ESTers in Action: Week of 12/3-12/9

Now pretty much everyone in New York is in the swing of basketball season... come back to this post for nightly updates!

*** Players are not separated in this post by whether they played in the summer league or not by location. Those that were summer league participants are in bold, and those that only participated in one-day events are in bold & italics. Those that participated in EST events in previous years are also included in this post. ***

Section 2

- Kerry Flaherty (Saratoga Springs 2019; Holy Cross signee) hit a personal milestone Tuesday in the process of helping the Blue Streaks earn a major early season win. She finished with 13 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, & 3 steals - scoring her 1,000th point in the process - in their 58-45 W over Colonie. Dolly Cairns (Saratoga Springs 2020) finished with a game high 18 points along with 7 rebounds & 4 steals in the victory. Flaherty led all scorers again Friday with 16 points, and Cairns added 11 to the cause as they continued their strong start with a 55-33 victory at Shaker.

- Meghan Huerter (Shenendehowa 2021) led all scorers with 18 points, knocking down 4 threes, in their 61-31 victory over Niskayuna Tuesday. Cat Almeida (Shenendehowa 2019; Quinnipiac signee) added 15 points for the winners, and Rylee Carpenter (Shenendehowa 2021) chipped in with 9.

- Lexi Van Vorst (Columbia 2019; SUNY New Paltz commit) finished with a game high 14 points Tuesday, but they fell to Ballston Spa 49-38. She went off Friday, knocking down 6 threes and leading all scorers with 22 points as they defeated host Burnt Hills 50-44.

- Julia DeBeatham (Shaker 2020) knocked down 3 threes and finished with 11 points as the Bison started their Suburban schedule with a 47-40 triumph over Bethlehem. She added 10 points Friday, which was a team high, but they fell to visiting Saratoga Springs 55-33.

- Graycen Dubin (Guilderland 2020) played a solid game Friday and contributed 11 points to the cause, and they continued their early winning ways with a 59-54 victory over visiting Niskayuna.

- Sareena DiCerbo (Colonie 2020) finished with a team high 16 points & 9 rebounds Tuesday, but they fell to host Saratoga Springs 58-45. Aliyah Wright (Colonie 2019; New Haven signee) chipped in with 10 points. Colonie bounced back Friday with a 66-46 triumph against Bethlehem. Wright led the way with 16 points and DiCerbo added 10 in the victory. Along with them, Kyara Triblet (Colonie 2019; St. Michael's signee) also contributed 10 points, and Colonie 2020s Makayla Blake and Ahnalese Pearson chipped in with 9 apiece.

- Olivia Olsen (Niskayuna 2021) dropped a team high 17 points and was a factor on the glass & as a rim protector Friday, but they fell to host Guilderland, 59-54.

- Julia Harvey (Bethlehem 2021) led all scorers with 17 points Friday, but they fell to Colonie 66-46. Ava LaClair (Bethlehem 2022) chipped in with 9 points.

- Talia Washington (Schenectady 2022) finished with a team high 17 points, but they fell to host Burnt Hills 65-43 Tuesday.

- Kelsey Wood (Averill Park 2020) went off for a team high 22 points & 19 rebounds in a monster showing Friday, but they came up short at Albany, 63-52.

- Harmony Philo (Gloversville 2019; Queens signee) dropped a game high 38 points, knocking down 8 threes, and they defeated visiting Glens Falls 71-55 Monday. She followed it up with another game high of 23 points and a handful of assists, controlling play en route to a 51-29 victory at Scotia-Glenville Thursday.

- Callie Chevalier (Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 2022) finished with a game high 21 points, as her squad picked up a Suburban Council victory with a 65-43 triumph over Schenectady Tuesday. She added 14 points Friday, a team high, but they fell to Columbia 50-44.

- Jenalyse Alarcon (Troy 2021) finished with 16 points, which tied for the game high, but they fell to host Albany 69-37 Tuesday. They evened their record for the week Friday, and she finished with a game high 20 points in that 58-49 victory over Ballston Spa. Juliana Valenti (Troy 2019) knocked down 3 threes in the victory and added 16 points, and Alaina Holmes (Troy 2020) also contributed double digits, finishing with 12.

- Antonia May (Amsterdam 2021) pumped in a game high 17 points Monday, and they handled visiting Broadalbin-Perth 52-23. She chipped in with 9 on Thursday as the Rams led by 35 after 3 quarters en route to a 63-40 W over Johnstown.

- Asia Winney (Scotia-Glenville 2019; Vassar commit) was a bright spot for the Tartans Thursday, and she finished with a team high 12 points in their 51-29 setback to Gloversville.

- Bre Lott (Mohonasen 2020) finished with a team high 17 points Tuesday, but they fell to host Ichabod Crane 55-46.

- Ashlyn O'Neil (Scotia-Glenville 2019) contributed 13 points, but they fell to Queensbury on the road Monday, 65-49.

- Madison Graham (Ichabod Crane 2020) dropped a game high 27 points Tuesday, as they opened up their week with a 55-46 home victory over Mohonasen. She added another game high of 21 points Friday, as they picked up another Colonial win with a 42-27 triumph over Lansingburgh.

- Brinley Inglee (Hudson Falls 2020) continued a strong start to her junior year, dropping a game high 23 points as her squad defeated rival Glens Falls 40-35 Wednesday.

- Charli Goverski (Mechanicville 2020) finished with a team high 18 points Tuesday, but they were on the wrong end of a 60-48 decision at Hoosic Valley.

- Payton Graber (Schalmont 2022) finished with a game high 16 points and Haley Burchhardt (Schalmont 2022) contributed 10, but they accounted for nearly 90% of the Sabres' scoring as they fell to Holy Names, 51-29. They both contributed double digits again Friday, with Graber pumping in a game high 19 points and Burchhardt adding 12, but they fell again in a tough week to Mohonasen, 50-47.

- Anna Lee (Johnstown 2021) finished with a team high 14 points Thursday, but they fell to host Amsterdam 63-40.

- Emma Shields (Emma Willard 2022) was one of three Jesters in double figures, finishing with 14 points as they defeated visiting Bishop Maginn 52-29 Monday. The following day, she was one of three to hit double digits again, tying for the game high of 12 points in limited action as they defeated Doane Stuart 48-6. They continued their winning ways Thursday, going 3-0 over a four day stretch with a 56-15 W over Loudonville Christian. Once again, Shields was one of three to contribute double digits, finishing with 14.

- Sara Hotaling (Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk 2023) contributed a team high 13 points Thursday, and they ran their record to 3-1 with a 53-41 victory over visiting AAG.

- Molly Brophy (Greenwich 2021) dropped a game high 38 points in just three quarters of action - 14 in the 1st, 11 in the 2nd, 13 in the 3rd - as they blew past visiting Schoharie Monday, 88-51. She added 16 points Friday, which was also a game high, but they fell 53-38 to Hoosic Valley.

- Logan Thayne (Hoosick Falls 2020), who just received her first scholarship offer from Albany, pumped in a game high 25 points & added 16 rebounds in their season opening 50-43 victory at Mekeel Monday. They returned to the area Wednesday and picked up another win across the bridge at Class AA Schenectady, where Logan went off for a game high 30 points and 15 rebounds in a 60-53 victory.

Not only did Logan Thayne help Hoosick Falls start their season strong, but she picked up her 1st Division I offer from Albany to start the week.
- Taylor Meacham (Berne-Knox-Westerlo 2020), who missed the 2018 summer league due to a torn ACL suffered in spring, made her presence felt in her return to the court Wednesday. She knocked down 5 threes in her first game after being cleared, finishing with a game high 21 points in their 56-44 W over Schoharie. Alexis Wright (Berne-Knox-Westerlo 2022) added 14 points in the Bulldogs' victory. Two days later, they combined to score 45 of their team's 80 in a victory over rival Middleburgh. Wright finished with a team high 25 and Meacham added 20 (4 threes) in the 80-59 triumph.

- In Cambridge's only game of the week, Lilly Phillips (Cambridge 2021) finished with a game high 16 points as they were able to hold off Tamarac, 49-44.

- Maddie Meyer (Duanesburg 2022) and Allison O'Hanlon (Duanesburg 2024) helped the Eagles continue their early winning ways Wednesday. Meyer pumped in 29 points to lead all scorers and O'Hanlon added 18, and they defeated Middleburgh 62-45. They picked up another win Friday, getting up by 20+ early and beating Heatly 40-23. O'Hanlon led all scorers with 17 points in the win.

- Abby Lombardoni (Fonda-Fultonville 2020) finished with a team high 20 points, but they fell to host Mekeel Christian Academy 54-42 Wednesday. They got back to their winning ways Friday, beating Schoharie 80-30. Lombardoni was one of four in double digits, finishing with 12 in the blowout win. Carly Atty (Fonda-Fultonville 2022) joined her in double figures, chipping in 11 (3 threes).

- Kelsey Terrell (Middleburgh 2019) had another pair of big scoring games. She led her squad with 20 points in their 62-45 loss to Duanesburg Wednesday, and followed it up with a game high 29 points in their 80-59 setback to Berne-Knox-Westerlo Friday.

- Gen Swanson (Loudonville Christian 2019) finished with a game high 16 points Tuesday, and they defeated host Sharon Springs 37-24.


Section 3

- Julia Rowe (Cicero North Syracuse 2021) and Jess Cook (CNS 2021) went to work in the blocks for the Northstars, finishing with 17 & 12 points respectively as they handled Baldwinsville 76-50. Lexi Miller (CNS 2020) chipped in with 9 in the victory.

- Lexie Roe (Fayetteville-Manlius 2021) finished with 12 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals in a balanced attack Thursday as they defeated Oswego 60-40.

- Kaia Henderson (New Hartford 2022) continued the monster start to her freshman campaign, contributing a game high 27 points in their 50-40 victory over Utica Notre Dame Tuesday. Following that, she dropped 26 points - another game high - in a 71-47 W over Utica Proctor Friday.

- Hannah Scott (Whitesboro 2019), normally a table-setting point guard, went off for a game high 24 points as they defeated visiting Syracuse Academy of Science 49-37 Wednesday. Kiley Snow (Whitesboro 2020) added 13 points in the win, proving to be a potent backcourt combo for the Warriors. On Friday, Snow hung a game high 21 points and Scott added 14, but they fell 59-51 to Utica Notre Dame.

- Adrien LaMora (Indian River 2022) dropped a game high 23 points Tuesday along with 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, & 3 blocks, and her squad handled visiting Watertown 76-38.

- Julia Mann (Central Square 2021) finished with 15 points, a team high, in their 41-40 victory over Corcoran Friday.

- Aurora DeShaies (Bishop Ludden 2019; New Haven signee) paced the Gaelic Knights with a game high 11 points in their 43-25 W over Cazenovia. In defeat, Lindsey Lawson (Cazenovia 2020) finished with a team high 10 points.

- Skye Ryan (CBA Syracuse 2021) finished with a game high 21 points Tuesday, and they blew out visiting Phoenix 75-12.

- Jackie Piddock (South Jefferson 2022) had a monster game for the Spartans, dropping a game high 29 points and adding 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 steals in their 66-49 triumph over Nottingham. Alyssa Stevenson (South Jefferson 2019) added a double-double, contributing 15 points/10 rebounds along with 4 assists and 2 blocks in the win.

Already a 3rd year varsity standout, Jackie Piddock went off for 29 in a win over Class AA Nottingham.
- Xy'el Bradford (Syracuse Academy of Science 2020) hit 6 threes and dropped a game high 26 points along with 5 steals in their 70-46 W over Homer Tuesday. Freey Pleasants (SAS 2020) filled the stat line for the Atoms, finishing with 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists in the win. They picked up another win Friday, knocking off Syracuse city opponent Nottingham, 63-57. Pleasants had a team high 15 points and added 7 rebounds & 6 assists, and Bradford had 12 points, 3 rebounds, & 3 steals. Also in the win, Lexi Pierce (SAS 2022) contributed 14 points and 5 rebounds.

- Belle Kranbuhl (Adirondack 2020) had another big game for the Wildcats, going off for a game high 24 points in their 53-51 victory over Cooperstown Tuesday. In the narrow defeat that saw the Hawkeyes come back from a double digit deficit, Piper Seamon (Cooperstown 2020) finished with a team high 18 points.

- Abby Wilkinson (Bishop Grimes 2019; Salisbury commit) went off for a game high 26 points, which matches her season average to date, but the Cobras fell to Westhill 48-38 Wednesday.

- Catherine Dadey (Westhill 2022) was one of three Warriors in double figures, finishing with 10 points and a handful of assists in their 48-38 victory over Bishop Grimes Wednesday.

- Savannah Sommer (Central Valley Academy 2020) paced the Thunder with 12 points in their 49-31 W over Camden.

- Allison Moreau (Sauquoit Valley 2019; Le Moyne soccer signee) dropped a game high 29 points along with 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks as they moved to 3-0 with a 44-38 W over West Canada Valley.

- Kennady Amo (Thousand Islands 2021) had a solid game Tuesday, finishing with a game high 16 points and adding 4 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals in a 44-24 victory over South Lewis.

- Olivia Langdon (Little Falls 2019) contributed 12 points Thursday, but the Mounties fell to Waterville in their season opener, 47-46. The following day, she dropped a game high 16 points as they ran out to a big start en route to a 51-21 victory over Oriskany.

- Kayla Usborne (Madison 2019) came just short of a triple-double in two straight games to start the week. It started Monday, when she finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, and 4 steals in their 66-24 rout of Cincinnatus. It varied Wednesday but continued, where she went for 19 points, 9 assists, and 10 steals along with 4 boards in a 69-29 W over Edmeston. On Friday, in a 51-33 victory over Cherry Valley that put Madison at 3-0 on the week, she went off for a game high 21 points along with 13 rebounds & 4 steals.

- Jaelyn Vleer-Elliott (Brookfield 2021) was just short of another triple-double, finishing with 12 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals, and 4 blocks in their 46-11 win over DeRuyter. Through three games, Jaelyn is averaging 11.7 PPG, 14 RPG, and 9.3 APG.

Section 4

- Marina Maerkl (Seton Catholic 2019; Daemen signee) went off for a game high 25 points, knocking down 4 threes in the process, as they routed visiting Susquehanna Valley 70-29 Wednesday. Reese Vaughan (Seton Catholic 2021) was a defensive catalyst and added 5 points, 8 assists, and 8 steals in the win.

- Laycee Drake (Deposit/Hancock 2021) went off on Monday, dropping a new career high of 45 points in a 67-61 victory over host Walton in their tournament championship game. She did so while shooting 50% from the field, going 9/11 from the line, and she also added 13 rebounds, 3 assists, 4 steals, and 3 blocks.

- Melanie Hoyt (Stamford 2021) finished with a team high 14 points Tuesday, and they were able to hold off Downsville 41-34.

- Elizabeth Thompson (Morris 2019) went for a double-double, finishing with 19 points & 14 rebounds in their 62-4 W over Sharon Springs.


Section 6/Monsignor Martin

- Sydney Ottomano (St. Mary's Lancaster 2021) finished with a game high 18 points, Shay Ciezki (St. Mary's 2022) added 16 points, and Lauren Nawojski (St. Mary's 2020) chipped in with 10 as they dismantled Health Sciences 95-35 on Tuesday.


Section 7

- Katelyn VanAuken (Bolton 2021) finished with a game high 19 points and fellow sophomore Maria Baker added 17, but they fell to host Northville 53-47 on Monday.


Section 9

- Brianna Rozzi (Highland 2019; Loyola (MD) signee) went off to start her senior season, dropping 32 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists to complete the triple-double and earn a blowout W over Pine Plains Wednesday.

- Deliah Smith (Franklin D. Roosevelt 2020) led a balanced effort with 15 points, Kelsea Demelis (FDR 2020) added 11 points, and Kamryn Hammond (FDR 2019) also finished in double digits with 10 as the Presidents blew out visiting Valley Central, 65-30, to start the season.

- Grace VanRoy (Saugerties 2019) dropped a game high 25 points and added 8 rebounds & 4 steals, and Anna VanRoy (Saugerties 2019) added 8 points & 9 rebounds as the Sawyers handled Newburgh 60-36.

- Defending NYSPHSAA Class C state champion Millbrook started off with an easy victory Tuesday. Erin Fox (Millbrook 2020) finished with 16 points and Sam McKenna (Millbrook 2019) added 15 as they defeated Germantown 54-24.

- Kiarra Kennedy (Middletown 2020) dropped a game high 36 points, knocking down 5 threes in the process, as they defeated Port Jervis 59-25 Tuesday.

- Erin Smith (Goshen 2020) dropped a game high 17 points Monday, but they fell to Warwick 39-28.


NEPSAC

- Northfield Mount Hermon started off their week with another comfortable victory, blowing out Deerfield 70-27. Silke Milliman (NMH 2019; Penn signee) led all scorers with 19, and Grace Heeps (NMH 2019; UMass signee) produced 10 of her own as four Hoggers finished in double digits.
