ESTers in Action: Holiday Tournament Week

Summer League

- Cat Almeida (Shenendehowa 2019) was one of three in double figures, finishing with 10 points in a 73-14 beatdown over Francis Lewis on Wednesday. She followed it up with 11 points Thursday, 7 coming from the charity stripe, in a 57-52 overtime W over Central (MA) to go 2-0 at the Amsterdam Holiday Showcase.

- Paige Brinkman (Schalmont 2018; Western New England commit) finished with 14 points in the Kirvin Cup championship game, a 53-43 victory over Schenectady on Thursday.

- Molly Brophy (Greenwich 2021) went off on Wednesday, finishing with a game high 38 points in their 80-33 victory over Granville.

- Dolly Cairns (Saratoga Springs 2020) went for a game high 20 in their 71-38 W over Glens Falls on Wednesday, and she knocked down 3 treys and added 17 points - tied for the game high - in a blowout 82-30 decision over Lake George the following day.

- Chloe Chaffin (Kingston 2018; Fordham signee) dropped 21 points, a team high, in their 62-45 L to Cicero-North Syracuse on Wednesday. She followed it up with 19 points on Thursday in a 75-42 W over Gerard-Filion (QC) to split at the Amsterdam Holiday Showcase.

- Julia DeBeatham (Shaker 2020) contributed a team high 12 points on Thursday in their 52-39 defeat to Catholic Central in the consolation game of Colonie's holiday tournament. The following day, she scored 13 points as they beat Queensbury 60-41 in the opener of Ballston Spa's holiday tournament.

- Laycee Drake (Hancock 2021) pumped in a game high 21 points, 9 coming in the 4th quarter, in their 64-51 W over Windsor on Wednesday. She followed it up by dropping a team high 22 the following day in a 68-48 L to host Bainbridge-Guilford in the championship game of their tournament. Laycee earned all-tournament team honors in the process.

- Kerry Flaherty (Saratoga Springs 2019; Holy Cross commit) finished with 14 points in back-to-back days - a 71-38 W over Glens Falls Wednesday, and an 82-30 victory over Lake George Thursday.

- Julie Ford (Cooperstown 2018; Albany signee) paced the Hawkeyes with 10 points in their 49-39 loss to Utica Notre Dame Wednesday.

- Emily Frodyma (CCHS 2018) pumped in 21 points, a game high, in their 61-56 L to Colonie on Wednesday. She went for back-to-back 20 point games, as she added 20 more - another game high - the following day, this time in a 52-39 W over Shaker.

- Madison Graber (Schalmont 2018; SUNY Cortland commit) dropped a game high 21 points in their 52-41 W Wednesday, and she added 20 more the following day - a team high - in their 53-43 victory over Schenectady in the Kirvin Cup championship game.

- Madison Greco (West Canada Valley 2018) knocked down 5 threes and finished with a game high 23 points in their 54-49 W over CVA on Wednesday.

- Madison Hoyt (Stamford 2019) finished with 17 points in their 58-34 W over Milford Wednesday, and she added 10 more in a 60-18 drubbing of Laurens in the championship game of their host tournament on Thursday. Madison earned all-tournament team honors.

- Melanie Hoyt (Stamford 2021) contributed 13 points in a 60-18 victory over Laurens on Thursday in the championship game of their host tournament. Melanie garnered all-tournament team honors in the process.

- Stephanie Jankovic (Averill Park 2018; St. Anselm signee) finished with 14 points in their 62-30 W over Shaker Wednesday, and she added 22 points - scored in the first 3 quarters - in their 65-49 W over Colonie the following day in the championship game of Colonie's holiday tournament. Steph was named tournament MVP.

- Maggie Kirby (Bethlehem 2018) finished with a game high 20 points in their 63-58 L to Central (MA) in the Amsterdam Holiday Showcase Wednesday, and she contributed 15 more to split at the showcase with a 67-29 W over Francis Lewis Thursday.

- Molly Kirby (Bethlehem 2018) contributed 14 points in a 67-29 victory over Francis Lewis in the Amsterdam Holiday Showcase Thursday.

- Belle Kranbuhl (Adirondack 2020) contributed 12 points, a game high, in their 61-24 W over South Lewis Wednesday. She followed it up with another game high of 14 points along with 4 rebounds, 5 steals, and 6 blocks as they won their host tournament with a 47-22 victory over Lowville Thursday.

- Maddy Malicki (Shaker 2019) finished with 13 points, which tied for the game high, in a 60-17 blasting of Stillwater at Ballston Spa's tournament Saturday.

- Maggie Malone (Cornwall 2019) finished with a game high 20 points in their 58-29 W at the Goshen holiday tournament Thursday.

- Taylor Meacham (Berne-Knox-Westerlo 2020) pumped in a game high 18 points in their 42-31 W over Cairo-Durham Wednesday, and she followed it up with a team high 16 the following day in their 44-35 W over Duanesburg in the championship game of BKW's host tournament.

- Lauren Obermayer (Columbia 2019) finished with 10 points, which tied for the team high, in their 45-44 defeat at the hands of Mechanicville Thursday.

- Kyra Oeffler (Heatly 2018; Sage commit) went for a game high 19 points in their 40-36 W over Argyle, the team that has eliminated them from sectional play the last two years, Thursday. She followed it up two days later with a game high 21 points, 13 rebounds, 6 steals, and 4 blocks in their 32-27 victory over Hartford.

- Julianna Okoniewski (Bethlehem 2018; Rochester commit) finished with 12 points in their 63-58 L to Central (MA) on Wednesday, and she added a game high 16 points in a 67-29 decision over Francis Lewis Thursday to split at the Amsterdam Holiday Showcase.

- Sam Pasinella (Mechanicville 2018) hit for a game high 15 points on Thursday in a 45-44 victory over Columbia at the Holy Names holiday tournament. She followed it up with 14 more in a 71-53 W over St. Dominic to go 2-0 at Holy Names.

- Harmony Philo (Gloversville 2019) hit 5 threes and finished with a game high 16 points in their 61-44 W over Haldane Wednesday, and she contributed 10 points & filled the stat line in a 58-49 L to Cicero-North Syracuse to split at the Amsterdam Holiday Showcase Thursday.

- Abby Piddock (South Jefferson 2020) contributed 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists in their 73-51 W over Syracuse Academy of Science Wednesday. The following day, she finished with 14 points - tying for the game high - along with 5 rebounds and 2 steals in their 61-29 W over Watkins Glen. South Jefferson won their bracket in the More Than A Game Holiday Classic in Syracuse.

- Jackie Piddock (South Jefferson 2022) had her best game in a Spartan uniform after transferring from Watertown IHC on Wednesday, as she finished with a game high 26 points (4 threes), 3 rebounds, and 3 assists in a 73-51 W over Syracuse Academy of Science Wednesday. Three days later, she went for 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists in a 65-23 drubbing of Carthage.

- Renna Poulin (Tamarac 2019) contributed 14 points in a 48-28 victory over Ichabod Crane on Thursday, and she followed it up by hanging a game high 27 points in their 47-46 loss to Voorheesville in the championship game of their host tournament. Renna was named to the all-tournament team.

- Giuliana Pritchard (Amsterdam 2018) finished with a team high 18 points, 8 coming from the free throw line, in their 68-59 W over Pittsfield (MA) Wednesday.

- Haedyn Roberts (Holland Patent 2020) finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds, 2 steals, and 3 blocks in Thursday's 52-48 L to Saugerties at the Amsterdam Holiday Showcase. Two days later, she finished with a game high 19 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks in their 57-51 loss to Utica Proctor.

- Brianna Rozzi (Highland 2019) pumped in a game high 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists on Wednesday in their 48-33 W over Spackenkill.

- Shyla Sanford (Shaker 2018; LIU Brooklyn signee) had a busy week, as they played 4 games in 4 days. She contributed a team high 11 points (3 threes) Wednesday in a 62-30 L to Averill Park. Two days later, she dropped a game high 20 points (also hitting 3 threes) in a 60-41 W over Queensbury. Finally, she tied for a game high 13 points - once again, hitting a trio of treys - in their 60-17 victory over Stillwater at Ballston Spa's tournament to go 2-2 on the week.

- Erin Smith (Goshen 2020) dropped a game high 28 points in a 57-50 OT setback at their host tournament Thursday, and she added another game high of 15 points the following day in their 45-39 loss in the consolation game.

- Haley Steenland (Stamford 2018) dropped a game high 24 points in their 58-34 W over Milford Wednesday, and she added 23 more the following day in a 60-18 beatdown of Laurens in the championship game of their host holiday tournament. Haley was named the tournament MVP.

- Cameron Tooley (Shenendehowa 2018; Le Moyne signee) finished with a game high 16 points in their 73-14 W over Francis Lewis on Wednesday, and then added 12 the following day in a 57-52 OT W over Central (MA) to finish the Amsterdam Holiday Showcase 2-0.

- Alexandra Tudor (Shenendehowa 2018; St. Francis (BK) signee) contributed 15 points in a 73-14 W over Francis Lewis Wednesday, and then dropped 17 - a game high - in their 57-52 overtime victory over Central (MA) the following day to go 2-0 at the Amsterdam Holiday Showcase.

- Kara Vamvalis (Saratoga Springs 2018) contributed 14 points in a one-sided 82-30 victory over Lake George Thursday.

- Grace VanRoy (Saugerties 2019) finished with 12 points in a 52-48 W over Holland Patent Thursday at the Amsterdam Holiday Showcase.

- Sophie Wittenbeck (Waterville 2018) finished with a game high 19 points in a 57-41 W over Lansingburgh on Wednesday, and followed it up with another game high of 20 points - including 4 treys - in their 60-53 L to host VVS in the championship game of their tournament. Sophie earned all-tournament team honors.

- Kelsey Wood (Averill Park 2020) worked her way to a game high 19 points in a 62-30 drubbing of Shaker on Wednesday, and she added 17 more in a 65-49 W the following day over host Colonie in the championship game of their holiday tournament. Kelsey earned all-tournament team honors in the process.

- Jenna Zimmerman (South Jefferson 2018; Le Moyne signee) filled the stat sheet Wednesday, finishing with 12 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists, and 7 blocks in a 73-51 W over Syracuse Academy of Science. She followed it up with 13 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, and 5 blocks in a 61-29 W over Watkins Glen Thursday in the championship game of their More Than A Game Holiday Classic bracket. Jenna was named to the all-tournament team. Her week wasn't over with just yet though, as she contributed 11 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks in a 65-23 victory over Carthage on Saturday.

- Jeonna Anderson (Schenectady 2019) dropped a game high 25 points in Thursday's 53-43 L to Schalmont in the championship game of the Kirvin Cup, held at Mohonasen.

- Chyna Butler (Nottingham 2018) finished with 15 points in a 69-64 overtime L to Central Square in the championship game of the Camden holiday tournament.

- Jill Casey (Horseheads 2020) finished with 10 points on Friday in their 59-21 victory over Hornell at the Josh Palmer Classic, and she struck for a game high 26 points the following day as they finished 2-1 at the tournament with a 67-37 W over Elmira Notre Dame. Jill was named to the all-tournament team in a showcase stacked with talent.

- Jess Cook (Cicero-North Syracuse 2021) pumped in 20 points in a 62-45 victory over Kingston on Wednesday at the Amsterdam Holiday Showcase, and she added 13 the following day as they finished a 2-0 trip with a 58-49 W over Gloversville.

- Catie Cunningham (West Genesee 2021) finished with a solid performance of 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals in their 51-27 defeat of Ithaca Saturday at the More Than A Game Holiday Classic.

- Aurora DeShaies (Bishop Ludden 2019) finished with a game high 22 points in their 90-41 W over Fredonia Friday, and she added 12 more on Saturday as they won their host tournament with a 53-45 W over Amherst. Aurora earned all-tournament team honors.

- Lexi Emmi (Liverpool 2019) finished with 10 points and 4 steals in their 50-47 W over Fayetteville-Manlius on Friday.

- Stef Gera (Auburn 2019) dropped a team high 28 points in their 65-47 L to Skaneateles on Friday, and she added 21 more the following day - a game high, including 5 threes - in their 64-62 L to Chittenango in the consolation game of Chittenango's holiday tournament.

- Payton Graber (Schalmont 2022) finished with 15 points in their 52-41 W over Mohonasen Wednesday, and she added 19 more - shooting 8/10 from the line - in a 53-43 W over Schenectady in the Kirvin Cup championship.

- Ahniysha Jackson (CCHS 2020) had 14 points in their 61-56 loss to Colonie Wednesday.

- Kiarra Kennedy (Middletown 2020) dropped a game high 28 points in their 53-50 overtime victory Wednesday.

- Cassidy Kotary (Holland Patent 2019) finished with a team high 15 points & 5 steals in their 52-48 L to Saugerties in the Amsterdam Holiday Showcase Thursday.

- Breanna Lott (Mohonasen 2020) had a team high 19 points in their 52-41 L at the hands of Schalmont Wednesday, and she went for a game high 22 the next day in a 50-39 W over Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons in the Kirvin Cup consolation.

- Sydney Lusher (Oneida 2021) finished with 7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 steals in their 43-40 W over host Chittenango Friday, and she added 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists in their 69-58 W over Skaneateles in the championship game of Chittenango's tournament.

- Marina Maerkl (Seton Catholic 2019) finished with a team high 13 points and 15 rebounds in their 48-43 victory over Bishop Kearney in the Josh Palmer Classic semifinals Friday.

- Emily Pike (Ticonderoga 2018) finished with a game high 16 points in their 42-19 victory on Wednesday, and she followed it up with 18 more - which tied for the game high - in their 55-30 L to Moriah on Thursday.

- Lexie Roe (Fayetteville-Manlius 2021) dropped a team high 21 points on Saturday (4 threes) in a 60-51 L to Webster Thomas in their pool of the More Than A Game Holiday Classic. She added 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

- Ally Shoemaker (Chittenango 2020) finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals in their 43-40 L to Oneida Friday, and she flirted with a triple-double the following day with a 18 point, 10 rebound, 8 assist, 3 steal stat line in their 64-62 W over Auburn in the consolation game of their own tournament.

- Mackenzie Smith (West Genesee 2019) dropped a game high 24 points along with 5 rebounds, 8 assists, and 6 steals in their 63-60 W over Our Lady of Mercy on Friday. She added 7 points, 3 rebounds, 8 assists, and 4 steals in limited action the following day, as they went 2-0 in their More Than A Game Holiday Classic pool with a 51-27 blowout over Ithaca.

- Madison Smith (West Genesee 2019) finished with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in their 63-60 W over Our Lady of Mercy on Friday. She followed it up with a game high 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists in under 3 quarters of action as they beat Ithaca 51-27 to go 2-0 in their More Than A Game Holiday Classic pool. Madison was named the Most Outstanding Player of the neutral site game against Ithaca.

- Alyssa Stevenson (South Jefferson 2019) had 10 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals in a 73-51 W over Syracuse Academy of Science Wednesday, and she added 13 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, and 4 blocks in a 61-29 drubbing of Watkins Glen in the championship game of their More Than A Game Holiday Classic pool. In the process, Alyssa earned MVP honors of their bracket. She continued the strong week with a game high 17 point, 5 rebound, 4 assist, 2 steal, 2 block stat line in Saturday's 65-23 drubbing of Carthage.

- Abby Wilkinson (Bishop Grimes 2019) finished with 12 points in a 54-43 setback to Watkins Glen Wednesday.

- Aliyah Wright (Colonie 2019) knocked down 3 threes and finished with a team high 14 points in their 65-49 L to Averill Park in the championship of their host tournament.

- Namir Davis (Utica Proctor 2018) finished with 13 points in a 57-51 victory over Holland Patent Saturday.

- Rebekkah Dean (Mekeel Christian Academy 2018) finished with a game high 16 points in their 51-35 W over Hoosic Valley Thursday, and she added 17 more in a 42-25 W over Maple Hill in the championship game of Maple Hill's holiday tournament. She was named to the all-tournament team.

- Petrina DeMarco (Whitesboro 2018) finished with a team high 12 points - all from behind the 3-point line - in their 66-35 L to Amherst at the Bishop Ludden holiday tournament Friday.

- Kaitlynn Finch (Delaware Academy 2018) dropped a game high 18 points in their 70-26 W over Edmeston on Wednesday.

- Ava Fitzmaurice (Greenville 2018; New Haven commit (softball)) finished with a game high 16 points in their 50-43 setback to Duanesburg Wednesday.

- Kaia Henderson (New Hartford 2022) dropped a game high 29 points in their 64-47 L to Central Square on Wednesday, and then she followed it up with another game high of 22 points in their 50-34 W over host Camden the following day, earning all-tournament team honors.

- Ava Learn (Our Lady of Lourdes 2021) dropped a game high 28 points in their 73-66 W over Albertus Magnus Wednesday.

- Bre Palmatier (Middleburgh 2018) finished with a game high 19 points Thursday in a 47-42 L, and she added 17 more - also a game high - in their 59-41 defeat the following day.

- Kylee Rosbrook (General Brown 2018) finished with a team high 18 points, 11 rebounds, 5 steals, and 4 blocks in their 60-52 L to Hammond at Canton's tournament Friday. The next day, she went off for a game high 26 points, 14 rebounds, 5 steals, and 3 blocks in their 59-53 W over St. Lawrence in the tournament consolation game.

- Abi Selfridge (Bainbridge-Guilford 2019) finished with a game high 17 points in their 57-32 W over Tioga on Wednesday, and then followed it up with a game high 31 points in their 68-48 W over Deposit/Hancock the next day to win their host tournament. In the process, not only did she earn tournament MVP honors, but she also surpassed the 1,000 point mark. She enters 2018 with 1,025 career points.

- Hanna Strawn (Seton Catholic 2018; Monmouth signee) had a big week at the Josh Palmer Classic in Elmira. She finished with a game high 16 points (3 threes) in their 80-42 opening round win Wednesday. Three days later, she went off for 23 points (again hitting 3 threes), 8 rebounds, and a pair of assists as they beat Elmira 55-47 in the tournament championship game. In a tournament full of talent, Hanna earned MVP honors.

- Alyssa Waters (Beekmantown 2018) pumped in a game high 17 points in their 51-41 W over Lee (MA) at the Amsterdam Holiday Showcase Wednesday, and then added a team high 11 the following day as they went to 2-0 in Amsterdam with a 46-44 W over Haldane.
